The Devil's Music
When I was about 18 or 19, I think it was either in my dream or that moment when you are in between asleep and awake, but I heard music so frightening yet brilliant that I thought it was composed by the devil himself. I don't have a classical background nor did I have the amount of ear training necessary to transcribe it, so I guess you'll just have to take my word for it. In fact, if I was to hear it again now, I still don't think I would be able to transcribe it. I can't really remember it, just that it was a piano piece, and that it was really complex but beautiful at the same time. I don't think my compositions will ever be as good as what I heard.
