Bridge Rectifier
When I did my GCSEs, my electronics teacher told me to get a bridge rectifier, and to make sure that it's fullwave. I went to Maplin, and asked them for a fullwave bridge rectifier and bought it. When I came to class with a ready-made fullwave bridge rectifier he told me that you could just build one from diodes!
